Over the last couple of years, we developed special methods in the field of biofuel compatibility testing. These test methods are used for very different fuels and fuel blendings. Next to others, we were able to test the refined pyrolysis oil from our partner Mash Makes made from cashew kernel shells with different methods of our Biofuel Compability Tests, e.g. Single-Cylinder-Engine-Tests as final proof before a real-world sea trial.
Some basic findings are:
- A 20% biofuel blend (B20) works perfectly in tests, with no engine trouble or extra wear.
- Cleaner combustion: Emissions stayed within limits, with stable performance and no sludge issues.
- No compromises: It delivers the same energy as traditional fuels without the heavy carbon footprint.

If you look for more details, we glady reference to our Whitepaper together with Mash Makes regarding this particular biofuel.
